Mencía is such an interesting grape. On the nose, the wine has fruity notes, with ripe touches, blackberry jam and black plum with liquorice hints.
Incredible structure and fruit density, liquorice and some black chocolate, well-balanced and tasty. This wine is very enjoyable, and the medium to full body and dark fruit in the nose is somehow reminiscent of a Nortern Rhône Syrah.
